10 Months Old!

Well, Junie's in the double digits and she is busy, busy, busy! She has 4 teeth, two on top and two on bottom. She eats pretty much anything we eat and loves everything. She's down to  about four bottles a day. She can stand alone for long periods and has been doing a lot of furniture walking. I haven't been encouraging her learning how to walk, but despite my lack of effort, I think she'll be walking any day now. She loves playing in the water table. Her two favorite activities are, climbing into and out of her chair in the picture below (over and over again), and opening kitchen drawers and emptying the contents (pictured below). She has also really started showing some personality. For example, she bit me and I said "no, Junie. No bite." She just looked at me then started cracking up laughing. Sigh. Can't believe in two posts  I'll be writing a one year post!

Mommy Lolo Date

One of Lo's birthday presents was 2 tickets to see the broadway musical The Little Mermaid at Starlight. We had great seats for $10 seats anyway. Lotus was completely mesmerized and loved watching through PopPop's binoculars. Here we are in our seats before the show: 

On Sunday we took the girls up to north KC to Penguin Park and had a picnic. Juniper LOVED the tunnel:

Dreams Do Come True...

Well, at least Lotus' dream of having her bestie Addie over to her house for a play date finally did. She's been talking about having her over since January if 2012! They had the best time in the pool, swinging, water table, sandbox, crafting, dress up and playroom! And Juniper thought everything Addie did was hilarious! 

Legos at Powell Gardens

We had a great trip to Powell Gardens to see the Legos with Mimi, PopPop, Ollie and Penny. Everyone had a blast!

Juniper is 9 Months Old!

Sweet baby girl is 9 months old already! She has her two bottom teeth and the top two teeth will be joining us any day now. She often forgets that she's only 9 months old and does crazy big kid things like walking all the way across the room with her walker and climbing up stairs. Her mom tries to remind her frequently that she is still a baby, though we will probably have an early walker on our hands! I love when I come home from a long day at work and she sees me for the first time, lets out an excited squeal and run-crawls straight for me. It makes my heart happy. She is eating anything and everything. As is reflected in her 9 month stats: 23.5 lbs (100th percentile) and 29.5 inches high (97th percentile). Mimi says she's getting curly hair, we'll see. She loves exploring, but her favorite place to be is in Mommy's arms. Love you June bug!

4th of July

We had an awesome view of the Corporate Woods fireworks display this year at Jeff's apartment complex. We sat on the balcony of a vacant apartment, it was great. However, most of the pictures I took didn't turn out due to how dark it was. Juniper was completely mesmerized by the fireworks and spent much of the time on someone's lap with the below looks on her face. Lotus spent most of the time laying under her sleeping bag watching the display. The next day she came down with strep throat, so that could have explained why she needed two blankets in 90 degree weather! Poor girl :(

Thursday FUNstravaganza

Aunt B and I took the kids to Science City today (thanks Mimi/PopPop! The kids had a fantastic time. Then we went to free family fun night at the drive-in. There were jugglers on stilts, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals and carnival games. What's better than a night at the drive in? A FREE night at the drive in :)
