June

June is so adorable! Lotus' favorite thing to do is to tell June "June, you're so adorable!" And then June gets a fake grumpy face and says "I am NOT adowbable!" Then Lotus and I crack up. 

She has gotten a lot better at saying the word adorable, so some of the cuteness factor has game, but still cute!

Career Day

Lo's kindergarten class had career day last week and everyone dressed up like what they want to be when they grow up. Lotus picked artist and rocked it complete with a French beret, thanks to Aunt B and Mimi for the apron! Also, thanks to Mimi for going to career day to take pictures because I couldn't. You're awesome!

Thanksgiving Program

All three kindergarten classes put on a thanksgiving program. They sang songs, which much to Jeff's dismay were about eating turkey, and then had a "feast" with Mac n cheese they made and treats afterwards. Lotus was so excited Mimi and PopPop came to see it! 

Happy birthday Elizabeth!

Elizabeth had a Minecraft 7th birthday party, so we loaded up for our annual trek down for the occasion. I'm pretty sure my kids still have no idea what Minecraft is, but they still had a great time with the Benben's!

Trick or Treat...

So others may eat. Lotus participated in the trick or treat so others can eat with her Daisy Scout troop and some of the older Girl Scout troops. They went door to door collecting canned goods for Harvesters. They loved it!

Happy Halloween!

Had to get the Halloween post up before December! The girls had a great Halloween, Lotus was a cat and Juniper was a "tinkerbell" fairy. We trick or treated in Ollie and Penny's new neighborhood and June lasted slightly longer than last year. What a bunch of cuties!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Schaake's pumpkin patch again this year. Both girls wanted to find a "Cinderella" pumpkin so we actually spent more time pumpkin hunting this year than usual. It was a great family day. 

Penny & June

June says, "I love Penny because her's my best friend." 

Penny recently made a drastic (according to June) decision to NOT be Sophia the First for Halloween. Much to June's dismay, she decided to be a bumblebee instead. Here is her reaction several days after Penny broke the news, June gets randomly upset about the Penny costume change:

Daisy Scouts

How is it possible that we already have a kid in scouts? Lotus became an official daisy scout when she jumped through the Daisy hoop. Her troop has 9 girls and they are adorable!

Junie is 3!!

Our sweet June Bug, Junie, June or Juniper is already 3! We had a couple friends and family over Sunfay night for a taco bar and cake to celebrate. June loved all the attention and presents. She got a big girl loft bed and pretty much everything Frozen on the market. Her Mimi and PopPop took her on a shopping spree to the Disney store on her actual birthday. How lucky is she?!

Ye Olde Yearly Ren Fest

Another awesome Ren Fest is in the books with our good friends the Benbens. 

Soccer!

Lotus started soccer this past Saturday and LOVED IT!! She was so good the other parents were cheering for her. Her team got beat, but she made the only goal for her team! We were so proud and she can't wait to play again. I asked her if I could take her picture and this is how she posed without any coaching, bend it like Lotus?

Best Day Ever

On Lotus' first day off school, I took the day off so I could spend extra time with her. We confiscated Ollie from Mimi and Pop-pop and headed out for a day of super fun! We headed to the best park ever in Grandview, Mo and this time Lotus (with couching from Ollie) was brave enough to climb to the top of the ropes and go down the mega slide. June loved playing the musical instruments in the park. Then, it started looking like it was going to rain, so we headed to Science City.  Ollie told me it was the best day ever!
