St. Louis Weekend

We went to St. Louis for the weekend for Elizabeth's 6th birthday. The girls went for our annual pedicure/manicures. Elizabeth got a sweet new ride and the girls loved riding around in it. The girls loved getting their faces painted at the party, they were both cats.

June's Fit Over Bread

June had some toast with lunch. She ate most of her first piece of toast and handed some scraps to me and said "more bread". I fed her scraps to the birds and this is the result. She is yelling "my bread!" Two year olds are just super rational joys!

Oh Man! And June's Trick

June has a catch phrase and it's adorable (of course). She says, "oh man" after anything that displeases her. For example, tonight in the bath, she was complaining as I was lathering her up, and I said I'm just getting you clean Junie, to which she replied "oh man!". Apparently being clean really brings her down. So stinking cute! In this video, she drew on her stomach with marker and I was explaining to her that marker goes on paper.  Lotus went camping with Mimi and PopPop, so we had a June night, with some friends over for dinner. June loved being the center of attention. Here she is being a daredevil and proving she's Jeff's kid. Faceplant into the couch.

Family Pictures

Halloween

We finally got to go trick-or-treat in our own neighborhood! Our old neighborhood had no sidewalks so we would always go to Aunt B's to trick-or-treat, but this year they came to us. The little kids went to a few houses, but it was very chilly so they came home early while the big kids went to a neighborhood haunted house. I hear it was spooktacular (sorry). Annual Benben Renaissance Visit

Ye Olde annual Benben Renaissance visit was a success! One of our favorite families the Benbens came to town and we got medieval for a minute (I realize those are two completely different time periods).
June got lots of attention in her butterfly costume which was also her Halloween costume.
Lotus and Elizabeth got to lead a parade with Juliet and her crew. They loved it!
All the kids got to meet a mermaid.
Lotus rode one of the King's horses all by herself:

June's 2 Year Post

June is 2 in numbers and in attitude. She is getting really good at talking. Today she said a three(ish) word sentence "bye-bye boo shirt." Her speech therapist thinks she's on track and will probably discharge her soon. June even played I Spy for the first time. She said "I spy, yellow" and the answer was the moon (which she is obsessed with finding in the sky). She also played a trick on me when we were driving she said "bye bye June" and I said "where are you going?" and June said "gotcha!" She has so many new words every day!
Her 2 year stats are as follows: 36 inches tall (90th percentile) and 32 pounds (90th percentile). If you believe in doubling their height at 2 predicts how tall she'll be as an adult, then June will be 6 feet even!
June's favorite activities are reading books over and over, riding her tricycle, swimming playing outside on the swing set and playing with her sister.
Her favorite foods are Mac and cheese, tator tots and strawberries.
She takes an epic 3 hour afternoon nap everyday and still sleeps like a champ at night. We love our Junebug and can't believe it's been two years already!
