Trick-or-Treat Trail

We took the kids to Trick-or-Treat Trail at our community center. Lotus has been coming to this every year. This year they had lots of cool blow-ups which was Lo's favorite part. Ollie and Penny looked super cute in their matching vampire bat costumes.

Fall is Fun!

Lotus loves to walk down to the "spooky house", our neighbor's house that has a huge Halloween display. In fact we walk up there almost every night. Today, Aunt B and the kids walked up there with us. They ran through the display several times, but the best part was all the leaves on the walk home. In fact, it took us twice as long to walk home because Lo and Ollie kept stopping to roll around in the leaves. At one point I found myself saying "Lotus, please don't crawl in the gutter." They sure had a blast though!

Happy (early) Halloween!

We went to a "trunk or treat" at a local bank which is a first for us. Lotus got all dressed up as princess Merida from the movie Brave and got TONS of candy. She lived up to her name and was not scared at all when she met a real live wicked witch! (She loves wicked witches) Lo says "she was just a little bit wicked". Juniper got her pumpkin onesie and hat on and slept through the whole thing!

Mimi and Penny Love

Mimi hasn't gotten to hold the baby much since she's been sick with bronchitis pretty much since her birth. She is finally on the mend and got to hold Juniper. Penny has much the same story. Penny literally could not keep her hands off Juniper as you can see in the picture below.

Sister love

I hope some day they'll be best friends because there's no friend quite like a sister.

Happy Birthday Ollie!

Ollie had a sweet Scooby Doo Halloween birthday party complete with a spooky cake and treasure hunt. It was super fun! We love you so much Ollie!

First Bath

Lo was so excited to help! Juniper cried just a couple of times.

Coming home

We got to come home on Sunday. Aunt B, Ollie and Penny made Juniper a welcome home sign and some ooey gooey butter cake. They also bought her a hippo (that was Lotus' idea. We are so glad to be home. Grandma Bo came to visit that night too!

First walk

Lotus wanted to walk to the neighbors house to see their spooky Halloween display, so Juniper got to go on her first stroller walk. She fell asleep before we hit the end of our driveway.

Big Sister

Lotus is an excellent big sister. She is really adjusting well and loves baby sister. She says "her is so adorable."

Juniper Kay Blizzard McClure was born October 5th at 2:56pm. Weighing a whopping 10 pounds 1 ounce and measuring 21 inches long (which were Lotus' exact measurements too) and looking like a purple Juniper berry due to some bruising on her face from getting squeezed through the birth canal too quickly. Mom got to cut the umbilical cord and Dad did not even come close to fainting = success! We are feeling so incredibly lucky to have such a perfect, healthy baby and no NICU this time (yet)! Dr. Healy and everyone else for that matter were shocked that we had another 10 pounder. The ultrasound a week ago Friday said she was only 8 lbs 11 oz. Good thing she came a little early! Lotus got lots of "big sister" presents and her first question when she saw her purple face was "is she white?". Lo is doing great being away from Mommy and Daddy and enjoying her time with Mimi and PopPop. We can't wait to be together again as a new family of four!
