Ocean City (Rainy) Day 3

Day 3 was a bit rainy. We started the day off with some Goofy Golf (or Goff if you're from NJ). We didn't make it all the way through before it started raining and we got drenched running home in the rain. We went shopping on the boards, played at the arcade and had pizza for dinner.

Ocean City Vacation Day #1

We left KC about 0230 Friday morning Western Pennsylvania bound. We got to our hotel at about dinner time had sushi and went for a swim. Both girls were great troopers for the 15 hour drive (thanks to the DVD player and Mimi's activity backpack). Saturday we got to Ocean City around 1:30pm. We made a quick Beach trip and then headed to the boardwalk. Goal for the week: make it through all 18 hole of "Haunted Golf". We're having a great time so far! 

Ocean City Day #2

Today was awesome! We started off renting a surrey, so here's our obligatory surrey pic. Then, we spent about 5 hours at the beach, swimming, building sand tunnels, picnicking, etc. Juniper had her first introduction to sand, and only had to taste it a couple of times before deciding it wasn't for her. Then Ollie and Penny flew in and we had the best time on the boardwalk riding rides and eating Polish Water Ices. Lotus tried some grown up rides and loved them!

Juniper is 8 Months Old Today!

Juniper is 8 months old already! Some new developments from last month: 

1) She has a tooth! Her bottom left tooth made it's appearance 2 weeks ago. She is working on the second bottom tooth and I think it'll be out any day now. 

2) She is a scooter! She is just about to learn to crawl. She gets on all fours and goes a couple times and then sits up. She can work herself all around the room like that. 

3) She has started eating teething biscuits and puffs, and loves them. 

4) she weighs a ton! I think she's around 23 or 24 pounds by now. 

5) She is such a sweet sweet girl! Ok, that's not new, but just had to throw that in there.

"Oh, you mean I'm not supposed to tear the sign down and try to eat it?"

Happy 4 Years Lotus!

Well, we officially have a four year old, no more pretending like Lotus loved to do. "Mommy, pretend I'm four, OK?" She had her checkup today and she's doing great! She grew 3 inches from last year and is 42.5 inches tall and 44 pounds. 90th percentile for height and weight. Some of Lotus' likes:

Lotus loves wearing dresses. We will probably be wearing fancy ones all summer. She is really learning to swim, she can blow bubbles and swim underwater. Her favorite birthday present was all the swim toys her Mimi got her. She puts her snorkel mask on and can dive down and pick up the toys at the bottom of the pool. She is so excited about her upcoming shore trip. She is also very excited about starting back at her "old school", the preschool at my hospital. She can count up to 20, knows all of her letters and sounds. She can write her name and is an excellent scissor cutter. We are very impressed with our Lolo and can't wait to see her grow! Love you little lady!

Lotus' Birthday Party

We threw Lotus a birthday party on Saturday. All of her besties from school came and she had a blast. We had a giant Cinderella piñata and face painting by Aunt B! Thanks to everyone who came and helped out!
