Benben visit!

Our good friends the Benbens' came to visit this past weekend, and the kids had a blast playing together.

We've discovered that Lotus likes to play dress up a lot. Here she is in Ollie's "woody" hat and the snowsuit Grammy bought her. She pranced around in it for about an hour.

Adventures in Camping

Aunt B and I decided to go on a camping adventure this past weekend at Clinton Lake outside of Lawrence in Grammy and PopPop's camper. Here are the kids with a "big jayhawk" in Lawrence.

Here we are in front of the camper and here are the kids sitting the most still they were all weekend! We did some exploring and Lolo and Ollie even ended up doing some swimming in the lake! Next time we'll bring swimsuits. Thanks for the adventure AuntBOllie!

Too much Cake?

Lotus had a fun cake-filled weekend. Friday night we went to our friends Chester and Nikki's wedding, where too many M&M's and cupcakes were consumed. She did about 500 laps around the ballroom and LOVED every minute of it. Congrats Chess & Nikki!

Then on Saturday we left for Oklahoma for Ollie's Toy Story themed birthday party. Lotus thought running around in JJ and Jeff's (Ollie's Grandparents) huge backyard was the best thing ever. She also enjoyed looking at Jeff's airplane, being all up in Ollie's present-opening business, oh and the cake of course! Watching Ollie practically convulse with joy over his new Woody toy and repeat to himself over and over again "not scary" about his birthday cake were the highlights for Lolo's parents. Thanks Jana and Jeff for having us!

Zoo run

Lotus competed in her first race today. It was the Polar Bear run at the Kansas City Zoo. She gave it a good try, but couldn't finish. Aunt B however, ran the 4 miles in 36 minutes. Yay Aunt B! Maybe next year Lolo!
