New Ride!

Walking is AWESOME!

Lotus decided she wanted to try walking today. She has taken a couple of steps 3 different times. You really have to wait for it in this video though. Way to go LoLo!

Fun fest 2010

We had a day of fun today to celebrate the start of the summer. My parents and I took Lotus and Ollie to Monkey Bizness to tumble around and then to Fritz's where your food is delivered by a train. Here are me and Ollie in our engineer hats:

They played so hard at Monkey Bizness they were both asleep within 5 minutes in the car:

See how gross Harrison is starting to look in the above picture? This is what he used to look like. A big reward to anyone who finds a replacement that Lotus finds acceptable! We can't wait for Aunt B to be off for the summer so we can all play together!

Walking sucks!

Growing up is frustrating! Lotus gets so frustrated with walking, just like she did at first with crawling. She is really good at the walker, but gets so irritated when she gets stuck and can't move, and her parents try really hard not to laugh. Here she is with one of her early birthday presents from Aunt B, Uncle Wes and Ollie. She loves it... kind of. :)

11 months!

Lotus is 11 months old ALREADY! She is developing more and more of a personality every day. She loves going to the playground and crawling around on it like a little monkey and she can wave bye-bye. Grammy says "there's not a shy bone in her body." When we are out and about she will stare, smile and laugh at strangers until they notice her and smile. She has to be in everybody's business. It is getting hard to make her sit still for these pictures!

Hair?!?

Lotus finally has enough hair to make a bathtime mohawk! Jury's still out on what color that hair is, strawberry blonde, red, or brown?

She's got skillzzz

Lotus has many skills, but her current favorites are saying her first word (besides mama/dada) over and over again "uh-oh" and giving high fives. She especially likes giving Ollie high fives. We are working on waving bye-bye and giving kisses.

Grammy found Lotus a baby skateboard at the thrift store, and it's perfect for Lotus! It's not pink, but we're working on that. Here she is dropping in all by herself for the first time on her mini-board:
