Deanna Rose Day
It was a beautiful morning at Deanna Rose Farmstead this morning. We borrowed a wagon and June lived riding around watching the animals and Lo lived pulling her around. Lotus actually got in to the baby goat pin to bottle feed them without blood curling screams when they'd jump on her, so I consider that progress. Then we walked the trail behind Deanna Rose to see the gnome houses and noticed a couple of new ones!

Ollie Sleepover
Ollie finally agreed to a sleepover and Lotus was so excited to have him over in our new house. We did some face painting, Ollie was Spider-Man and Lo was Dorothy (the Wizard of Oz book that we read has Dorothy in glasses). They made the big box our oven came in into an airplane (yay we finally have an oven!). They watched the Wizard of Oz and ate lots of junk food. When I asked Ollie if he was going to come back soon for another sleepover he said "only if we get to eat cake, popcorn, chocolate donuts and ice cream." They may or may not have eaten all those things he listed ;)

Wizard of Oz
Lotus loves the Wizard of Oz, so I took the girls to the a Wizard of Oz kids exhibit at Crown Center. Lotus who is usually afraid of nothing was scared of the witches castle and emerald city. There were buttons to push that made the wicked witch move and laugh her crazy witch laugh. Juniper was pretty scared too and made me hold her pretty much the whole time. Pretty spooky! Her favorite part was the display case with the ruby red slippers and looking through the books. We found the yellow brick road!
Z
We took the cousins to the park on a cold and windy day. They had a blast! P.S. Lotus wanted to title this blog "Z".

New Babysitter
Oops, I meant new washing machine. She's been sitting there watching it for at least 20 minutes. Every time it stops, starts or adds water, she looks at me and says "oh?" .

Moving Madness
We had to say goodbye to the house Jeff and I were married in (literally in the backyard), my kids have spent their whole lives in and where 8 years of memories have been made. Our house sold after 36 hours on the market, for full asking price, woohoo! We bought a foreclosure that needs A LOT of work and had 11 days to move out. We moved in 4 hours with the help of some awesome family and friends. It was quite a bit more difficult than the last time we moved sans children. Our new house is twice the size of our old one and the neighborhood is fantastic (walking distance to an excellent elementary school, city pool, library, park and tennis courts are all within walking distance). My most favorite thing about our new house is the sidewalks! The girls had no where to play and ride bikes in our old house with no side walks and our steep driveway. We're super excited for summer and lots of pool time. We're just hoping we have doors on the bathrooms by then. The previous owners literally stripped the house of everything (doors, sinks, faucets, stair spindles, light fixtures, etc). We have a lot of work ahead of us, but good thing I married Mr. fixit. We're super excited and so far we love our new house (aka The Money Pit). I'll post some before and after pictures soon!
