Happy First Thanksgiving Juniper!

Juniper spent much of her first Thanksgiving falling asleep, trying to fall asleep or being rudely awoken by two rowdy excited cousins (Ollie and Lolo). The two cousins however had the best time playing trains, chasing each other half naked in the front yard and just generally being buds. We had a great spread and so much to be thankful for. I've been asking Lotus every night what she is thankful for and here are some of her replies: my whole entire family, the grocery store, toys, myself, my house. Her mom is thankful for fake mustaches, which brought some sweet photo-ops and a little annoyance to Mimi. I don't think they'll be gracing the Christmas card this year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Juniper Smiles

Juniper is a smiler, however you wouldn't be able to tell it from this video, in fact if you blink you'll miss it. Prior to me pulling out the camera she was smiling up a storm. In posting this video because I like Lotus' make Juniper smile voice.

Meeting Brady

My friend of 15 years, Abby, and I met up for a lunch date. She has a new baby boy just a month older than Juniper. We joked that it was their first date, but everyone else at the restaurant kept asking if they were twins because we happen to have matching car seat carriers. Brady is such a cutie pie and we can't wait for play dates!

Naked Baby

Lotus loves being naked. She refers to playing around the house as being "naked baby". She would love to do everything naked if she could, including putting a pie in her Daddy's face (his idea) and helping Daddy rock her baby to sleep. Hopefully this is just a phase?

School Pictures

Lotus had her first school picture day a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe what a grown up little girl she looks like!

Juniper is One Month Old!

Can't believe it's been a whole month already! We took Juniper for her one month checkup today and she is growing and growing. She is up to 11 pounds 13 ounces (97th percentile) and 23 inches long (97th percentile). She is a really good baby. Her favorite activities are eating and sleeping, which she does a lot. She is starting to smile and make more eye contact. We are so lucky to have this little girl in our lives and love our family of four. Here are her one month pictures which were quite difficult to capture. Also a couple pictures of her first smiles which she is doing pretty frequently now, so cute!
