Several blocks away from our house at Antioch Park, the city of Merriam puts on the annual Turkey Creek Festival. It is awesome! Most everything is free of charge and since it was cloudy and sprinkled for 10 minutes, we didn't wait in line for anything. We took Ollie and Lolo and had a blast. We rode paddleboats, ponies, bounce houses, trains, went to the petting zoo, got our hair painted pink, saw a "Funky Mama" concert and had ice cream cones. Can't wait to go next year!
Lotus wanted a backyard playset for her birthday. Jeff and I found a playset someone was giving away for free in very good shape. Lotus would be out there every minute of every day if she could.
Hopefully I'm not the only mom who took pictures at their child's first trip to the dentist? Lotus went to see "Dr. Jill" Jenkins last week and I was blown away at how well she did and how much she enjoyed it. She let them take x-rays (where we found out she is not actually missing any teeth as previously thought), and clean her teeth with birthday cake flavor cleaner. She LOVED it!
Lotus had her first spring program at school today. She did a really great job during all the songs. Here she is with her sticks in the middle in the white polka dot dress.
Lotus went to her first non-family birthday party a couple of weeks ago. Her BFF at school turned 3 and had a killer bday party. It was like a dream come true for her. She got to meet real live Princess Ariel, dress up like a princess, get her hand painted, jump in a bounce house and eat cake!
