Sid the Science Kid

We went with Ollie and fam, and Mimi and PopPop to Union Station for a pancake breakfast and got to meet Sid the Science Kid. Lotus was so excited! I predicted she would be terrified, but she loved hugging him. Thanks Mimi and PopPop!

Dodge City

I worked on Thanksgiving, so Jeff and Lotus went to St.Joe to my cousin Andrea's house to celebrate. I ended up getting off work early, so we headed for Dodge City to see Grandma Bo! Lotus had the best time. We went to Boot Hill where Lo expanded her rock collection and visited Great Grandpa Milton, Aunt Millie, and Uncle Mel in Garden City. Lotus thoroughly enjoyed being the center of attention. We can't wait to go visit again!

Union Station

Union Station is gorgeous during Christmas time. We rode the kids train again this year, with better luck. Lotus didn't scream the entire time, although she did look like a deer in headlights. Then we went to Science City and Eden Alley for lunch. What a great day!

P.S. Lotus is wearing an "Aunt B vest".

Facepaint

Someone had too much fun with facepaint at Wonderscope :)

New Favorite Activity

Lotus has really mastered the art of the tricycle, we think it's from "riding the big bikes" at her school. Her Daddy picked up this tricycle at a garage sale for $2, and her mommy was a little skeptical of a tricycle named "the mongoose", complete with flames on the wheels. But, it has quickly become Lo's favorite thing to do.

The Magic House & STL

This past weekend Aunt B and I loaded up the kids and drove to St. Louis to visit the Benbens. Leslie bought the kids matching outfits, which was Lo's favorite. Elizabeth is only 6 months older than Lotus, so they had fun holding hands and playing with E's babies.

On Saturday, we went to the Magic House. My parents took us there when we were little and we were blown away with how much bigger it is now. My favorite was the "Jack and the Beanstalk" that let the kids climb up a beanstalk in the middle of three flights of stairs, very cool. Lotus says her favorite was painting. Happy Halloween!

On Sunday Lolo debuted her Foofa (from Yo Gabba Gabba) costume and went with Daddy, Aunt B, Uncle Wes and Ollie (the spider), to trick or treat trail at Matt Ross Community Center (our pool/gym). I hear it was very busy but super fun! On Halloween, Lo and Ollie got so much candy! Lo got 41 pieces (we had to count it). She was a very polite trick or treater, saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" at every house. We can't believe what a difference a year makes!
